Your tasks are stored on your device

Everything you type into Doozy — task names, projects, due dates, alarms, completed history — is saved locally on your device. If you delete the app, that local data is deleted with it.

iCloud syncing

Doozy may offer optional syncing between your devices through iCloud. It uses the Apple Account already signed in on your device.

When syncing is on, your tasks, projects, and settings are stored in the private area of your own iCloud account and travel between your devices through Apple. They are not stored on our servers, and we have no access to them. Apple's handling of that data is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

You control it: turn syncing off in the app, or manage and delete Doozy's iCloud data in your device's iCloud settings. Because that data is yours and not ours, deleting it is something only you can do.

What we collect

To find bugs and keep Doozy fast, we collect diagnostic information that isn't tied to your identity:

• Crash reports. If Doozy crashes, we receive a report of what the app was doing when it failed, including the stack trace and the time of the crash.
• Device and app information. Device model, operating system version, app version, and similar technical details — the context needed to make sense of a crash.
• Usage and performance analytics. We may collect information about which features are used and how the app performs — for example, how long a screen takes to load, or how often a feature is opened — so we can decide what to fix and what to improve.

We use this only to diagnose problems and improve the app. We do not use it to advertise to you, and we do not sell it.

Who else is involved

Diagnostic data is processed on our behalf by Google Firebase Crashlytics, which collects and stores crash reports for us. Their handling of that data is covered by Firebase's privacy documentation and Google's Privacy Policy.

Apple stores your synced tasks in your iCloud account, as described above, and distributes Doozy through the App Store. Apple provides us with its own aggregate sales and usage statistics, which we do not control. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

How long we keep it

Crash reports and diagnostic data are retained for a limited period — long enough to spot a pattern and fix the underlying bug. Aggregated statistics that can't be traced back to a device may be kept indefinitely.

Deleting Doozy from your device removes every task and setting stored on it. If syncing is on, you can remove the app's data from your iCloud settings as well. There is nothing on our side to delete, because we never had it.

Children

Doozy isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. Continuing to use Doozy after a change means you accept the updated policy.
